A very sensitive kind of treatment was done successfully by several surgeons. 

It was the very first head transplant that was mad in te world. It was risky yet it became as what they expected it to be. 

The patient was a Paul Horner, 36-years-old. He was diagnosed with a disease called bone cancer. He was diagnosed 5 years ago and the doctors recommended a very controversial treatment to him, a head transplant. 

One of the doctors, Dr. Tom Downey said, "It’s a massive breakthrough. We’ve proved that it can be done – we can give someone a brand new body that is just as good, or better, than their previous one. The success of this operation leads to infinite possibilities.”


Paul Horner took the risk and after 19 hours of surgery at the Charlotte Maxexe Johanneseburge Academic Hospital in Johannesburg, Africa. He now enjoys a cancer-free body. The operation took place on the 10th of February in 2015.
