Of all the Amazon River monsters, the one that scares people the most is the anaconda. The real ones may not look as huge like what we see in movies but they are considered to be the largest snake judging by weight. The last thing you will ever want to do is to encounter one but can you imagine a man swimming with it?
These remarkable images show a 26-foot ready to strike giant anacondas of Mato Grosso in Brazil. All are captured by a Swiss Diver who joins the beast in their natural habitat arming only a camera.
A Swiss Diver and snake enthusiasts, Franco Banfi, comes face to face with the giant anaconda. He has initiated an expedition to discover the giant snake and to document it. These large snakes are ready to strike. He takes shots of around six anacondas. In another shot, he captures the snake lying on the river bank but thankfully to the photographer, it has just gobbled a capybara rodent.
He states, "As the snake had just eaten, it didn't take interest on us. Everything is possible but I don't think it would have eaten us. I was every close, I could have touched it if I wanted to."
All thanks to this brave man, people are able to see photos of calm anacondas up close. Although he mentions, it takes respect for the anaconda to achieve it, it doesn't change the fact that its crushing power won't hurt you when provoke.
