Sleeping is a necessity that has slowly become a luxury because of our fast-paced lifestyle. It's gotten us thinking that the less sleep you get, the more stressed you are which makes us look and “feel” busy, or important.

We think that being stressed and not getting enough sleep is sort of a badge of honor that indicates we’re important people because “we have many things to do.”

But we fail to realize that no matter what we think; sleep is still an extreme necessity to our health. According to Web MD, an average adult needs around 7.5 to 8 hours of sleep every day for us to function properly. 

However, it’s not just sleeping that we need to concern ourselves with. In sleeping, you snore and when you do this regularly, it may actually disrupt your normal quality of sleep. This will make you suffer from a daytime fatigue eventually. 

A website has cited that snoring in your sleep may signify a deeper health problem. Web MD also reports that habitual snoring may be a signal for sleep apnea. 

Sleep apnea is when your state of breathing is disrupted during your sleep. When untreated, this could actually lead to hypertension, stroke, or even a heart failure

Sleep apnea also causes you to experience the following: Long interruptions of breathing, frequent waking from your sleep, light sleeping, experiencing strain on the heart, having a poor night’s sleep, experiencing low oxygen levels in your blood, chronic headaches, obesity, and daytime sleepiness and fatigue. 

Thankfully, this condition can be prevented through this simple mixture that you could easily prepare at home. It allegedly prevents you from snoring heavily, which will decrease your chances of having sleep anea. 



You only need the following: 
1 lemon wedge
1 small ginger 
2 apples 
2 carrots

1. First, you need to wash all the ingredients. 
2. Then you have to peel and cut the ginger into small pieces. 
3. Gather all the ingredients and slice them, removing the core of the apple and the seeds of the lemon. 
4. Then you have to blend all of them together. 

The source cited that lemon has antibacterial properties and a high content of Vitamin C, which improves your body’s resistance to infections and bacteria. 

Ginger, meanwhile, has been said to be a natural decongestant and has been used to fight off throat and respiratory tract infections for ages. 

Carrots are very effective in treating phlegm and other similar conditions. They are also an excellent source of Vitamin C and are a powerful antioxidant which can boost the immune system and build resistance. 

Apples also contain Vitamin C and fiber which has been known to relieve mucus build-up in the body.  
This is due to the fact that mucus may build up in your throat once you snore heavily for long periods of time--leading you to have respiratory or throat-related problems, as mentioned above.
