An Indonesian Politician gave out a bizarre statement saying that babies can turn out to be gays and lesbians if they are being fed with instant food such as instant noodles and milk formula.
According to Indonesia's Tangerang City Mayor Arief R Wismansyah during the City-run pregnancy seminar, these instant foods can affect the child's growth and sexuality if still being patronized.
"To create Indonesian children that are healthy smart and competitive, the most important thing is, from the very beginning, to provide them adequate nutrition, especially breastfeeding, " he said.
Mayor Wismansyah exclaimed that essential nutrients are needed by children and not instant foods. But because parents are too busy, they tend to give instant foods instead which can cause homosexuality.
"So, it's no wonder that recently there are more LGBT," he exclaimed.
He was not the first anti-gay politician in the Asia. Although being a homosexual is not a crime among Muslims, it is still not widely accepted.
