John Lloyd Cruz stars in the movie of Honor Thy Father that was disqualified from the Best Picture Category when the Reality Entertainment failed to notify the MMFF executives that they have shown the movie in the Cinema One Originals Festival last November.

On the Instagram account of Angelica Panganiban, she reposted a post of a make up artist named Ricci Chan that encourages the fans to support Honor Thy Father.
But one netizen bashed the AlDub loveteam saying that they are nothing compared to John Lloyd Cruz. Angelica quickly reacted saying that there is no need to bash other actors to show their support her boyfriend.
