A male olive ridley sea turtle was saved by marine biology researchers after they removed a black drinking straw that was stuck inside the nose of the turtle.

Nathan Robinson along with Christine Figenner found this endangered sea creature while they were doing a research in Costa Rica.

The marine biology researchers claim that what is inside the nostril of the turtle was a parasitic worm, but after they pulled out and got a sample they knew that it was a drinking straw.

Pain can be seen from the reaction of the turtle as they  were pulling the entire 12cm straw. After 8 minutes, they successfully got the straw out.

The turtle is now examined if it needs further treatment because of the incident that happened to it.
