In this day and age, it's incredible how much time we spend trying to modify the body's natural smells. If we actually paid attention to what the smells mean in the biological instead of aesthetic sense, we might actually learn something.

In Dr. Lulu Marquez's "Private Nights" aired by DZMM, she clarified that vaginal odor is normal. However, years of conditioning has taught us that any smell coming from the body, especially a woman's, is bad. Here are the only odors you should be wary of when it comes to the feminine area:

ODOR WITH DISCHARGE

One of the most common symptoms of cervical cancer is a strong, foul odor coming from the vagina. If your private area is also expelling discharge, this may also be a sign of STD's like syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea.
