The 'Sample King' and former Showtime host, Jhong Hilario is now one of the councilors of the first district of Makati.
He topped the race for the councilors with 80, 692 number of votes. On Wednesday, an interview was held on DZMM, Jhong said that his main goal now is to show the entire community of Makati that he is worthy of the votes that they have given him.
"Kailangan nating magtrabaho, ipakita sa tao, kung binoto ka ng tao kailangan ipakita mo na karapat-dapat ka kasi kung hindi, malamang hindi ka na manalo sa susunod," said Jhong.
He was then asked if he did his phenomenal moves when he was doing the house-to-house campaign. Jhong then admitted that he had to dance since it was the request of the people.
"Alam mo mahirap hindian 'yung mga tao kapag nagre-request eh. Well hindi naman tayo nagtatatumbling pero 'pag sinasabing 'sample sample', umiindak tayo nang kaunti pampasaya para sa kanila kasi alam mo naman nakilala tayo bilang 'sample king' at least matuwa man lang sila,"he further explained.
