The COMELEC or the Commission on Elections has confirmed on Thursday that the script of the trasparency server was actually changed, not to affect the results of the vote counts, but rather to correct a character in the name of the candidates with "ñ" in them.

Before releasing statements regarding this issue, people have been accusing the COMELEC of changing the server script to change the vote counts.

But then, as the COMELEC announced this minor error, they repeatedly said that the change in the server script that they did, does not affect the results that the server showed. They kept on explaining it to the people that it was just changed to correct because of the scrutiny that people give in relation to the results of the Vice presidential race.

"It does not, in any way, change the results, the counting and the canvassing of the results and the source code of the automated election system." COMELEC Chief Andres Bautista stated.
