A Study Proves That Woman Who Are Active In Their Love Lives Have Better Memory! Find Out More Here!


Frequent love-making doesn’t just make a woman shine. A recent study by a university in Canada has proved that women who have intercourse more often have a better memory, compared to those who don’t or those who have less intercourse. 

Studies from a team of scientists in McGill University in Canada found that young women who engage in traditional intercourse have better memory retention than those who are less active. 

The research looked into how penile-vaginal intercourse affects a woman’s brain when it comes to remembering abstract words and people’s faces.

The scientists asked 78 straight women ages 18-29 about their love lives. Afterwards, they were given memory tests that measured short-term recall and memory function. After tabulation, the results showed that women who frequently engage in love-making had higher scores in remembering abstract words. 

The results were published in Archives of Sexual Behaviour

The researchers of this study said that intercourse can improve the growth of tissue in the hippocampus, which can translate into better memory performance. 

The reason why remembering faces is not affected is because images are reliant on other parts of the brain and are not associated with the hippocampus directly.

According to Jens Pruessner, a psychology professor at McGill University involved in the study: 
“The chemicals involved with signaling reward to the brain, hormones and neurotransmitters, have been shown to be associated with both memory and sexual activity.”

The study now supports the initial hypothesis of earlier studies stating that humans can have better memory with frequent love-making. Studies with animals on the same hypothesis have already been proven to be true.

DOH To Give Free Condoms To Students, Urges Parents To Teach Kids About S*x!


Because of the sharp uptick of HIV and AIDS among the Filipino youth, the Department of Health (DOH) has come up with the solution of raising awareness through counseling and free condoms.

The "business unusual strategy" will also urge parents to get involved and teach their children about safe s*x at home.

"Because of our culture, we get embarrassed by topics like s*x (and) HIV/AIDS … but I believe (correct information) starts at home. Please make sure (your kids) are protected," advises National Youth Commission Chair Aiza Seguerra.

In a Press Conference during World AIDS Day 2016 held last Thursday, Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial shared: "As soon as we thresh out the strategy with the Department of Education (DepEd), we can distribute (condoms) after providing them proper counseling."

"Of course, we also have to prepare the school authorities, teachers, principals, healthcare providers," she added.

Data shows the significant rise in numbers of HIV/AIDS cases-- the total number of HIV cases recorded since 1984 to October of 2016 is 38,114; 32,099 of which are from years 2011 to 2016. What is even more alarming is that 10,279 of these cases are of ages 15 to 24 year olds.

The Episcopal Commission on Health Care of the Catholic bishops conference head have also taken notice of the alarming situation and have called out to the youth to take part in educating everyone.

Executive Secretary of the commission Fr. Dan Cancino said, "The cases rose, especially for those aged 15 to 24 years old. They are [our] future, our high school and college students."

Furthermore, in line with raising awareness, the secretary also invited the youth to take part in the National Catholic AIDS Sunday on December 4 which will be held at the Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord in Mandaluyong's SM Megamall in their hopes of raising public awareness.

"This is a day for us to increase our knowledge and awareness, especially the youth, on the global problem of HIV/AIDS."

Scientists from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky discovered that ice packs could be used as a way to lose weight. 

For effective use, strap on an ice-pack and place it on a fatty area like thighs or stomach for 30 minutes and it can already burn calories.

The cold compress from ice-pack works by triggering the body into making its flabby white fat transform into calorie burning fat. Humans have two types of fat tissues: The white fat and the brown fat.

The white fat is associated with chubby stomachs and hips that circulates in the blood to fuel muscles while brown fat is used by the body to generate heat. The colder the body, the more brown fat disappears.

Scientists have discovered that when white fat gets very cold, it can transform into near-brown fat, which they call "beige", and it can burn away more fat compared to the other two types.

"We wanted to investigate whether human adults had the ability to transform some white fat deposits into beige fat when they were exposed to cold," said Dr Philip Kern, one of the scientists.

"Browning fat tissue would be an excellent defence against obesity. It would result in the body burning extra calories rather than converting them into additional fat tissue."


Scientists took thigh fat tissue samples from 16 various people after they held an ice pack on the skin for 30 minutes then checked for specific genetic markers that showed which kind of fat was present.

They found elevated levels of three genetic markers tied to beige or brown fat in samples taken during the winter.

Scientists also analyzed belly fat tissue samples from 55 people to see if the tissue samples taken in winter showed more evidence that they were becoming beige. Analysis revealed that belly fat tissue biopsied in the winter was higher in beige fat, compared to the samples taken in the summertime.

Step 3. Let the mixture cool at room temperature.
Step 4. Using cornstarch or plain flour, dust the body parts you’ll remove hair from.
Step 5. Using the waxing spatula or butter knife, spread a thin layer of this warm mixture on the areas where you want to remove hair. Apply in the direction of hair growth.
Step 6. Put the piece of cloth on the area and pull after about 2 minutes.

Sleep specialist Dr. Roland dela Eva guested on DZMM and shared with us a few tips on how to sleep better at night.

According to the specialist, chocolates and alcohol need to be avoided when having trouble sleeping. He also shared that stress and anxiety is among the common reasons for insomnia.

"Yung ibang pasyente na hindi makatulog ay pwede rin po silang parang secondary insomnia na pwede pong dahil sa pagbabara ng daloy ng hangin o sleep apnea," shared Dela Eva.

However, he suggested that instead of self-medicating and taking sleeping pills, it is best to consult a doctor first due to the various reasons behind this problem.

"Ang importante po dito ay thoroughly ma-screen po natin sila," he suggested.

The doctor advised against common vices when having difficulties. He suggested avoiding nicotine, alcoholic beverages, caffeine and even chocolates. Instead, he said a regular sleeping habit should be developed.

He emphasized how important it is to have a regular and constant bed time as well as time for waking up to help the body adjust.

The light can also be a factor, he shared. Turning off the lights help the body produce sleep hormone known as melatonin.

"Ang ilaw kasi pwede pong hudyat na araw na at kailangan ng gumising pero kapag madilim, ito po ay parang hudyat na gabi na."
