Yaya Dub is known as the 'Queen Of Dubsmash'. But behind that it was not easy for Maine. She was just a normal student of the St. Paul College in Bocaue, Bulacan. Then she finished her degree in Culinary Arts at De La Salle College Of St. Benilde. She travelled to New York to work after finishing her studies. 

Even before she gained fame, her family had been already stable. They have a business and she loves to travel.

"I got bored scrolling through different social media sites. (Which I didn’t think was even possible) And at that moment, Dubsmash was a hit", Maine said. 

This became her hobby until her videos became viral. 

She was surprised when Eat Bulaga called her for a VTR and an interview. Then the second call was to tell her that she made it.
